0.1.0.0 released (now with level goals!!)
New version! This one brings level goals, which means you can finally make proper levels. The level saving format has been changed, read all about it in the changelog:
- Levels are now saved in a custom .lvl format. Levels now keep track of their version independently of the editor version, so that levels made in newer versions of the editor may still work in old versions.
For now, you can still import old .res and .tres levels to update them to the new format. Those formats have some potential vulnerabilities though (when getting them from strangers), so that's why they're deprecated. Also, the new format makes levels about 4-6x smaller! I may optimize it further in the future, if only for my own personal pleasure.
- Changed the location levels are saved to. Old levels should move to it automatically when opening the editor, but if you had any subfolders you'll have to move them manually.
- Added level goals. Tried to add as much fanfare as possible to them without having to figure out how a level win screen would even work here.
The goal's position can be changed from the Level tab.
Old pre-goal levels will have the goal at a default location on the top left corner.
- You can now add a Name, and Author information to your level.
- You can now resize the right section of the editor by dragging its left side.
- Player spawn can now be placed on a 16-pixel grid instead of 32.
- Player spawn and level goal can now be repositioned more easily if you hold left click and drag the mouse.
- Clicking a door or key to copy its data now changes the current tab to the door or key editors.
- Fixed doors and keys being able to be placed on the player's spawnpoint.
- Fixed "Player Spawn: (x, y)" in the editor not updating when loading a level.
- Fixed doors with Pure components not being immune to the brown curse.
- Fixed cursed doors with now-browned master locks still being unopenable with equipped master keys.
